Thom and James Elliot ...the guys behind Pizza Pilgrims continue to amaze me. In just a few short years they have gone from success to success. Their "Pilgrimage" to Italy buying a Piggio Ape van to kick off their venture was covered by a TV crew and the their story driving the 28mph van back to the UK was documented in a 6 part series which was aired on the food channel earlier this year. They put a wood-fired oven in the back of the Piaggio Ape van and started selling pizzas from the van in Berwick Sreet market in London's Soho. James Elliot being the Chef he is insisted on buying only the freshest ingredients for the pizza toppings and London's markets gave him the best option of the freshest goods which he could purchase daily from his immediate area. The pitch in Soho has gone from strength to strength and earlier on this year they opened up their first Pizzaria in Dean Street also in Soho. The van will be at the Harvey Nichols store in London (5th floor) until the end of February and all throughout January they will be giving pizza making Masterclasses from 3 to 6PM daily. Courses are only £40 per person. Pop up the 5th floor or e-mail... bookings@pizzapilgrims.co.uk to secure your place pizzapilgrims.co.uk/
