Hi all!
I'm fairly lucky in regards to sourcing wood one of my best mates has fencing, forestry and firewood business and he happens to like pizza so we managed to strike a deal! I've told him I need oak, ash to start with as they will burn hot. What else will be suitable? I heard softwood is no good not sure weather this is a heat issue or if it imparts a bad taste on food I certinatly wouldn't put it in my smoker! What do you think to beech I think that burns pretty well and sycamore? Do you guys use anything else?
Keith
Ps , sorry if I've taken this off topic abit!
Pps . . . Imo husqvana or stilh are the best makes to go for chainsaw wise used both makes both very good quality saws.

I like hawthorn, holly, beech, ash, and birch. I have some cherry and apple in my woodpile but haven't used those logs yet. A guy at work uses sycamore in his wood burning stove and he says it's great, but I can't say how it performs in a WFO
