Least we all forget, we are still a UK wood-Fired Oven Forum and I would like to see more posts on Wood-Fired Cooking! That said, many thanks to minesamojito and the others for their BBQ , smoked, dirty! and pan fried recipes. As the heading says " Just cooking" so I presume its anything that you can cook be it on a WFO or a WF BBQ or any form of cooking .This blog is about sharing with others . I get lots of advice from people on this forum and have learned a lot .And yes its a WFO forum but its also so much more . people just with the same interests and the likely chance that somebody that WFO also like other forms of cooking and particular outdoor fire related is very high on this forum. And its not just a UK forum but a worldwide forum so there is thousands of people contributing to these cooking methods . What a great opportunity to be part of it Cant understand why you giving out .

A steak can easily be cooked in the wfo either on a grill over the embers like a lot of rural french restaurants do or in a cast skillet in the front of the oven. I plan on trying most of the recipes from my blog in the wfo from soups to roasts. If i find tweaks are needed for the wfo i shall add it to the recipes and post. I think the secret of any cooking is keep it simple, enjoy yourself and do not be afraid to try and experiment. I can not wait to cook some of the old cuts of meat that require long slow cooking, I have just ordered a whole mutton and plan on cooking all of it in the wfo, from pan frying to braising.

I don't have a blog or a web site to promote, I just typed that in at the bottom. I would just like to see more WFO cooking presented on this Wood-Fired Oven Forum.

So why hijack my thread with your tirade? your comments were certainly directed at me As I've repeated before simply because a recipe isn't cooked in a wfo doesn't mean it can't be, for example the chateaubriand above, cooked in a skillet in a medium hot wfo would be perfect. You also seem to take offense with me using my blog as my signature, and then implying that I am just here to promote my site. If you are trying to stir....you are making a grand job of it! Cheers Marcus
