A BBQ experiment for camping bread. I made my Chelsea buns up as normal, spreading some with my spiced Christmas raisins and some with mashed banana and walnut. Then I pushed the buns into orange halves and placed on the BBQ with the lid on.
After about 25 minutes very tasty results! The orange shell protected the buns from burning and imparted a lovely bitter orange taste. Like a good quality marmalade. Which gave me the idea of making breakfast buns with marmalade in them.... The next experiment!
