Thank you for your thoughts Dave, the oven is totally dry as it is covered when not in use and i do cap off the chimney to trap the heat and also i only have about one inch or so of thermal blanket so i think i will give the oven a coat of vermicrete,and i will report back when its done and update the thread.

Well,i have given the oven a coat of vermicrete (about three inches ) and it has made a massive difference,with the insulation i have fitted to the door (50mm of celcon block) the oven is far more stable for bread making and there is plenty of retained heat for cooking with the next day,all in all i am now very happy with my oven and would very heartily recommend it.
