You do realise that mushrooms are closely related to Athete's Foot, no?
Sorry... couldn't resist a little revenge for when vegetarians accuse us of eating corpses.

That sounds more like 'shrooms in buns...
I have a photo of a sports footwear shop in Perigueux France called - you guessed it "Atheletes Foot". It has gone bust...

Chicken of the Woods and Beefsteak mushrooms are far nearer eating animal flesh, should you so desire. I do miss puffballs in France, if anyone of you in UK finds a puffball that is ready to spore please box it and send it to me!
Meanwhile I'll feast on the local free funghi.

You gotta get the Chicken of the Woods early or it goes woody or the maggots get to it. Do you get pukka puffballs in Northern France - not the small inedible poisonous ones?
We get Caesar Aminata now those are special and sorta scary eating red amanitas.
Have the inundations receeeded?

I haven't checked our wild garlic areas in the woods - must have a look tomorrow. With the sun everything has been going daft the strawberries are in flower!
Plum trees are in flower.
Tomato plants 4 inches high plus beans and other things. Butterflies are about and the lizards having a great time - the pond is alive with newts.
