Hello & Is my idea for an oven viable?

Quick question guys, would Isover be ok for insulation on the dome because it works out at about £1.75 a meter which is pretty cheap and looking at the specs it seems like it would do the job?

Looks a bit borderline to me. Looking at separate tech specs for Isover, their ultimate and rock wool products can be good for up to 700C. Glass wool (as per your link) was given as 250 to 400C. I suspect only the innermost layer would be adversly affected though. Up to you whether you think the savings are worth the risk.

I was just looking at the ultimate version a minute ago, I will ask TP if they stock it or can get hold of it as I'm sure it will be a lot cheaper than £46 I paid for about 4 m2 of ceramic fibre at 25mm
