What is the best fire position for making pizza between either side and rear of the oven. Any conclusive reason for each position would help. Thanks.

Depends upon the shape and size of your WFO I suppose, but using a smallish (32") Pompeii style oven I spread the embers into a horseshoe and put the pizza in the middle. I never have more than one at a time in the oven as they cook so quickly I find they need almost constant attention; barely time for a gulp of cider between actions !
