I'm looking to start building the door for my oven and would like to have a thermoter on it, with a probe into the oven to get an idea for air temperature inside.
Does anyone have any recommendations on ones to go for? I have seen the Vitcas one but am not that keen on the aesthetics (mainly the logo on it) and there are a few on ebay that look decent enough, but any specific recommendations would be good.
Thanks

That's certainly cheap. Interesting that you say the short probe is better, I'd have thought a decent length would be useful for measuring the temperature a little further inside the oven would be good. Can't see a length given on that page though.

A longer probe would indeed be better, however hit would also be much more prone to damage. The one pictured is about 3" (75mm) long and works well for me.
