After my first couple of posts regarding portable ovens, I built this 'beauty' haha Second thread of mine hereI tried a version of those dry stacked blocks, obviously they don't hold heat for long. As I'll be selling pizzas I don't want to be feeding the fire too much. I basically made a steel version, it's 1.5mm mild steel with perlite infill. I just stacked the parts for the first firing, as I expected it to warp a bit. Now it's warped it shouldn't move much more, I'll now make some kind of fixing system to lock it all together. I may also add fire rope to the joints, although I think a few gaps helps the fire. I was really impressed with it's performance. I slid the top forward to start with to make a gap at the back, to help the fire get going. I didn't add a flue, and to be honest it doesn't need one. It gives a good flame wash. I didn't use much wood really, less than a bag of softwood logs over a few hours. The pizzas were cooked in about 2 mins. Now I'm happy with the efficiency I can clean it up and give it a few coats of paint
