We all wait with baited breath. You may well be the first man ever to do that...

Looks like Zippy went £0.99 over. My aim was £100 but that was too difficult

This was to keep the sun off me ...NOT the rain I’m feeling sorry for you. You will curse the decision to build so close into the corner. It can be done but makes it difficult working around the back.

No wood store?

Zippy, I tend to agree with downunerdave. Why not lift the 2 slabs (one with the spirit level on, & the one forward of it) then bring your oven base forward & right. That will give you a narrow walk round the oven at the rear.
Also are you using the base underside for wood storage, if not, now would be a good time to reconsider the idea. Otherwise thats a lot of unusable space.
At this point, now is the time to re-appraise the build, cost would be negligible, but well worth it.

Thanks Guys and yes you are right about the corner location ..it was difficult but I have finished the project and learned a number of lessons ...including i should have added a wood store ...NEXT TIME ....

All bricks were free so the cost of base was really in sand and mortar inc concrete slab it was about £25 ish

Hire a disc cutter, 15mins all cut. Fit small lintel, re-point.
