I went ahead with the Percrete and put about a 4-5cm layer on the thermoblocks 10/2/3 ratio and used about 60liters of perlite. I am slightly worried as it is almost dry already due to the thermoblocks being extremely thirsty i guess, I did not wet them before as was not looking for even more water in my stracture maybe this was a mistake, i dont know. The poor was around 7 hours ago apart from that my surface is not smooth and quite bumpy and resembles dry cocopops that are crumbly but bonded together. fingers crossed it turns out ok tomorrow.

The surface may appear dry , but it won’t be underneath. There is at least double the amount of water in the mix than is taken up by the chemical process of hardening so that leaves a large amount of free water even allowing for some that is sucked out by the aerated concrete blocks below. If need be a dry 50/50 mix about 1/2” thick of sand and powdered clay can be used as a levellerto set the floor bricks into. They are better left dry and loose to allow for expansion and possible replacement years down the track, as sometimes some of the bricks in the centre of the oven floor may crack.
