Just wondering, would building insulation boards like Kingspan or Celotex be suitable instead of silicon sheets? Or is it a completely different make up?

I dont belive isulatiom like kingspan or seletex are heat resistant, ive seen them types burn! plus the chance of chemicals leaching out from that kind of insulation would make for a nasty tasting pizza.

Have you thought about Thermolite blocks. I've cut them in half lengthways to give 4.5" of insulation.  |
