You can get fireproof board , I got some from Travis Perkins to put behind a stove to satisfy building control. Have you thought about a piece of steel under the roof truss to deflect the flames from the onduline? I imagine the flames don't last very long so the steel shouldn't heat up very much. How high do the flames get and what sort of gap do you have between the roof and the arch opening?

Hi Bo,
flames can reach a few feet when firing up the oven until the chimney draw gets going properly
The entrance arch is inside the roof by about 1 foot horizontally and about 4 feet vertically
I think with fire retarding board cladding under the roof timbers at the front of the oven it should probably be fine to use the Ondulite.
Cheers Pete

I think your timber rafters will be more than alight before the metal roof sheets, Pete!
I'm wondering if your over-fuelling your oven, perhaps? It'll only take on heat at its own rate, and a raging inferno too soon will only have more heat going up the chimney, or out the door. Wasted wood. Or maybe place the initial fire further into the dome?
But some cement fibreboard/ fireboard will help deflect the flames.
