When they were re-routing the Swallowfield by-pass, there were a load of trees felled. The wood was stacked on the side of the road ... My hubby was driving past one morning and the "very full" transit pick up that was driven by some suspicious looking people was in the process of being booked, and having to unload the wood! So, I guess, if it's in even lengths and stacked it's being picked up. if it's just piled up higgledy piggledy then they don't mind but I'm no lawyer!

We're surrounded by mopane here, and it's all we'll be burning; that said, I'm a long way from Essex these days! Hope you've sourced something locally, and good luck with it.

I wonder if anybody had them logs by ealing common or are they still there, i finished working there at chrismas.
I have a trailer now so I may pop down and get them if they are still there hehehe.
