Having found and joined the Forum earlier this year and reading the threads seeing the different builds and styles I was truly inspired to have a go myself . PROJECT OBJECTIVESTry and build it all myself ( no previous building experience whatsoever!) Use as many as possible of the various materials lying around my garden. Get it done this year. Well I have done it, here it is so far (pic below) with a few finishing touches still to go and the paving to finalise. I have had one test run cooking a pizza for myself no witnesses in case of failure but all was well! Last week had a few friends round who were all very impressed, so planning a pizza party friday this week (11th Oct) for a full test. Over the next few days and weeks I will endeavour to put up as many photos as I can to hopefully help anyone who is thinking of having ago. If I can do it anyone can and it really is worth the time and effort. Attachments:

Start point
I took down a very old greenhouse earlier in the year that had a small brick wall as a base so this was my start point and location.
I wanted to use the wall to form my base, so one day in July I borrowed a mates mixer for the day and went for it!

Insulating blocks and start of firebricks. Note...All building materials I had to buy sourced locally from C & W Berry as handy to my home and quite competitive on price for most things. Attachments:

Another dry run, decided to use Blue Staffordshire Engineering blocks, partly due to cost but also as I had seen them used successfully elsewhere on here, thank you! Attachments:
