Yesterday I cooked up the belly we had it with roasted veg . Today with half of the leftovers I made twice cooked. The resulting pork is so tender and the whole meal is bursting with flavour. Make a glaze with honey, half the amount of honey in soy sauce , 1/2 teaspoon five spice. Reheat your pork coating well with the glaze. I served with noodles witha gingery, garlicky, gravy Attachments:

Great looking dishes you've been making lately and the twice cooked belly pork looks a picture.

Never going to be as good as Marcus!!! That pork was meltingly divine though. I am working with a group of friends trying to show that you can feed a family of four cheaper if you home cook ( and you know just what you are eating) I still have a third of the joint left and am aiming to get 2 more meals from it.

As we both like to cook we sometimes find ourselves fighting for the kitchen... Rosemary does a sweet & sour twice cooked pork. 1 tsp cornflour 5 tbsp chicken stock 1tbsp tom ketchup half tbsp soy 1 tbsp rice vinegar That's the sauce, then the stir fry she adds mushrooms, spring onions, thin strips of carrots, fresh pineapple, wow I could this now.. Found a use for the rest of the belly !! I cold smoked it yesterday and popped it into these pies with some herbs, spices, minced bacon and pork .......... I always use duck fat for my hot water pastry but might give butter a go next time. Attachments:
