I had some students with me this weekend for a BBQ and one of the many things we did was make chicken kebabs . They were lovely and people often underestimate how dead easy they are to make . It was a fun filled day from 1045 -1530 with loads of food that was consumed Attachments:

I love minted marinated lamb with haloumi and a variety of vegetables. Courgette, pepper, red onion, whatever is too hand.
I love barbecued broccoli, the slightly burned crispy head with a soft stem. I blanch the head in pieces for about 4 -5 minutes before oiling and adding to the kebab or as a separate side dish.

Along the same lines as Mikey above, my favorite kebab is Lamb.
I marinate it with tandoori style spices with plenty of garlic, ginger and citrus. I make the kebabs up with chunks of pepper and onion and dress lightly with oil and S&P and grill on the hottest coals I can muster until there is plenty of charring present. Then strip off the kebabs, rest for a few mins and coarsely chop onto a large naan bread (preferably made in the WFO next to the BBQ!). Dress with some fresh tomato, cucumber, mild onion and coriander. Then serve with a few lemon wedges and raita on the side. Perfect!

Thank you Rivergirl , Greensheepuk, Mikeywills . Yes I love lamb too myself . I also love adding a few dried apricots to the skewers they respond lovely to the heat and goes well with lamb. fruit and alcohol glased with castor sugar kebabs are lovely I told the students about these type of fruit kebabs with alcohol also . try pinepple slices also with the core removed but not ones from the tin. Then glaze with a mix of rum and castor and then moisten with rum while on the Barbie yum yum . here is a link to the fotos of the cooking if anybody interested on more photos on facebook and also some comments on the website : bbqmasterclass.net/bbq-class-braai/www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.420318648064386.1073741828.319602378136014&type=3
