BBQ season is kicking in, and the smell and taste of good home cooked BBQ food gets seriously addictive. I love to give it a local twist, and pork shoulder braised in cider is truly a wonderful match, the only thing I could do was to smoke it with some chunks of apple wood pruned from the apple trees in my garden. The pork was a wonderful shoulder from Pitmans Farm. My recipe is over on the Food Magazine blogs, some great blogs on their site, including this one for www.food-mag.co.uk/cider-braised-pulled-pork-recipe/. Have a great BBQ season. Cheers Marcus

I lived in New Orleans back in the 80's for a couple of years and really miss the some of the food. Pulled pork is a favorite we often prepare and enjoy in a good roll with home made slaw. We also now do our version of a ham and pineapple pizza using pulled pork. Recommend you try this yourselves. We do 3 variations, with pineapple, apple and pear ! all are excellent ! Muddy
