Ok,
with build spanning over 1 year due to weather and fact i had lay full garden of paving slabs i think i missed the DPC layer.
I have a rol of it in shed, but looks like with rush in work and home i neve rlaid it for both pizza base, bbq base and a long 4 block wall built along the garden.
so i plan pour my slab for the pizza oven once sun is out.
can i just lay DPC sheet in bit mortar and than pout the lab over it creating a bridge between the pupporting walls and newly laid slab

....in 1 word.....Yes. Lay a dpc on top of your supporting walls before pouring the slab. It may do nothing......but it may stop any damp rising up to your slab. If you can keep your slab dry, then the insulation layer between hearth and slab (vermecrete/insulation blocks etc will make sure your hearth performs to it's maximum heat mass strength. i.e.....take less wood to bring up to temp...and hold it's heat better.
