I was away in Conakilty Co Cork Ireland last week and made a Fish Paella one of the days . Its my version of a poormans ( but this time I added safron and with the price of safron i presume it takes me out of the poor mans catogory ) to get as many flavours and depending on what I get my hands on i always add a small tin of anchovy and a normal tin of tuna . Then the more pieces of fresh fish i can get the better . peppers, rice, tin tomatoes, fish stock or just veg or sometimes I mix one of each and what ever other ingredients i have . paprika ( i prefer smoked ) and varoiuse other herbs garlic , lemon etc Some white wine Chillis for flavour but not to strong Attachments:

....Beautiful......one dish I've always wanted to try.....using the correct ingredients but have never got round to trying.
I've had many a good "Paella" but only from the superb markets and fairs in France and Germany.....never tried a "real one" as I've never been to Spain.

Minesamojito Rivergirl Cannyfradock . Thank you .
I really always love making paealla and sometimes even ad a few drumsticks and other or lobster and crab claws .IN south africa I always use to add prawns also as the prawns there is massive and lovely .
Yes Terry I have never been to Spain either and would love to experience one in Spain. But the closest I have come was in Lanzarote . I had a few lovely ones there . They also dress them so lovely with the oranges etc . I use to make them like that at one stage but started getting lazy and not adding orange anymore for show/garnish.
It was lovely If I had to say so myself .
