Ok went in to get the blocks for insulating base. Asked for the breeze block, or thermalite, or quinn block..... Said ah yes they are the real light perlite insulating blocks made by QUINN LITE Great said take 18. so went get metal while lad loaded them up. but when went take them out off at home got bit shock. these are not what expected and nto what seen used on here. look like standard 4inch block but made from some reddish stone thrown in here and there. Looks like you'll be heading back to the builders merchants there! They just look like mid-weight concrete blocks! Thermalites and Quinn Block are light grey, a hell of a lot lighter in weight and look like the cement equivalent of that Oasis Foam that the flower arrangers use, or Celotex Insulation Sheets. i think "the lad" needs to be sent off for some long weights, wire netting seeds, angle grinder sparks and a tin of striped paint!!!
