Stevo! I had me one of those RS2000s too!!
Venetian Red, black vinyl roof, full webasto folding sunroof, 1978 solid headrest recaros, roll top door cards, four spoke RS Wheels and single box rally exhaust. Crikey it used to shift, and keep those Mk3 RS Turbos in their place! Good on you for keeping one alive, mine sadly fell foul of the rust devil.
I hate to think just how much they are worth now too!

They're going up in value at the moment - better appreciation than a bank account.
I picked mine up 9 years ago and i'm only the second owner on it, it's garaged and only comes out in the dry... Fair to say that if i was ever to get rid of it, the new buyer would struggle to get change from 12k.

Ha, yes, well actually, I was a drummer but the nickname came after (lads in the footie team taking the p**s out of my hair) Old (but not that old) mods never die, they just get greyer hair!

Ringo, that Rickenbacker Bass looks intriguing. I've never seen one with the 6 string body.

I think he bought it cos Mani out of the Stone Roses played one. It's very heavy and quite rare I think (judging by the fact that a few years ago he went to have it appraised at a music store up north and the bloke in the shop offered to give him anything in the shop for it!) Unfortunately, I'm no player just a collector, he is though and he works as a guitar tech for a member of a pretty big band - not that I'm envious....
