I promised to say that the lovely curved left hand wall was laid by the Mrs, although I did the painful process of using a disc cutter to get the angles, the creation once cut was not my work - very good job! Attachments:

So the curved wall to the left has been done - the platform now installed for the bbq cooking platform - two council type paving slabs of extremely heavy nature. Thank goodness I have a 15 yr old son as load bearer Attachments:

Done the arch for the bbq - hard work, slightly nervous, but cut the side bricks to help with the arch - as previously posted - these cuts and the diameter of the arch are critical Attachments:

Prep for the hearth pour. Supports tacked to the blocks with sticks like s**t, the weight load is from above and not laterally, so ready to support the boards for the ton of concrete to support the dome Attachments:
