Due to us having a ruck of leftover turkey from Christmas Day I fired up the oven last night and along with some homemade cranberry sauce made some seasonal pizzas.
Although these weren't the finest pizzas we've made (screwed up with the dough prep) we found that the cranberry sauce was very very nice (much tastier than sauce in a jar). It was so simple to make too!!
We spread the sauce along the base, as you would a tomato base on a normal pizza.
Will try and add a photo shortly.
HOMEMADE CRANBERRY SAUCE
1 x Cup of fresh cranberries 1 x Cup of Pure Orange 1/2 x Cup of Sugar.
Place pure orange & sugar in a saucepan and heat. Add cranberries. Simmer for 10 minutes. Leave to cool.
Very nice!!!
We finished off the pizzas with some Chutney Cheddar Cheese but unfortunately all our homemade stuffing had gone which I think would have gone down nice as well.

As I said, not the best looking pizza (or tasting dough) this time, but the filling & sauce was really nice. A good way to get through any excess Turkey next Christmas.

Matty
Your recipe sounds very tasty and your pizza looks tip top!!
I have to confess that my left over turkey went into the proverbial curry.

Not been on for a while and just checking back on what I've been missing. Great idea for a pizza, must try that for my meat eaters next Christmas. I've made cranberry sauce with dried cranberries, as couldn't get fresh, and just omitted the sugar altogether, as felt it was sweet enough for me.
