ah fair dos, my dads an engineer and that's the sort of annoying/sensible/clever and rational solution he would come up with whilst I just go with the bull in china shop hope for the best approach.. Im a plasterer so I can relate to the dirty part, done a little bit of groundwork's as well but nothing major by any means

Next job then is countertops I've got the father in law helping me next weekend with the forms so I need to get some melamine sorted out. i still really don't have a clue what I want though there are to many options I do really like the metallic pigments but I can't seem to find one that will work in concrete they all seem to be for epoxy. More googling required I suppose

Hi Lee,
What a fantastic build. I'm just about to cast my top but can't help thinking ahead. Really like your entrance/arch transition but can't seem to get my head round how you've done it? Any chance of a few more pic's. Also what was your grog fondue mix? Very tidy work, hope I can get close. Big plans bad time of year to start!!

I I Finally have a garden after 3 years of mess! Still some posts to oil and my gutters to fit and the countertops to make but the to do list is getting shorter. Picked up some white cement and sharp sand to mix with my metallic pigments for some test pieces

So I got all the forms filled today all the mesh in place my garage floor is reading 10c so hopefully they will be fine in there if the temp drops I might have to set a heater up on a timer for the nights but the forecast looks ok for now. I picked up some poly sheets to lay over the pieces I was going to spray them with water first and keep them wet under the poly for a week I'm not really sure if this is a good idea at this temp. But il try again on google for it

Hi slen sorry I forgot to mention that I used this bonding agent an off the shelf product from wickes I think pva would work just as well but this was only £6 I think and it worked a treat!

Hi leetheldc just a quick question are you k rending your oven or is it just a render coat sand and cement !, i see that you used acrylic bonding on the vermiculite that is why am asking the question and i see that you have put a trap vent 3cfm (cubic foot per minute) is this for the render coat to take out the moister and are you leaving this in . I like the build perfection at it best . cheers jagnut this valve is used a lot in the engineering world as we would say vent to atmosphere .
