Thanks RD I'm battling with the rain today to try and get over the arch I'm using a laser level to help keep things level and preventing any drop a little tip I picked up one of the masters from forno bravo was a god send really il post pic later Ha buhna sounds like your never going to be happy with it as long as you got the thickness like you said I'm sure you will be happy once your done and cooking away are you getting chance to work on your oven today ?

Really tidy build, you certainly have more patience than I do. It's quite amazing how quick the mortar will grip isn't it?

Thanks mutteringfool yes the mortar is crazy stuff first time I've worked with grog and fondue cement but if you get the stuff the right consistency it's great. Didn't get chance last night to plug the oven but I'm going to have a go now crank up the sthil saw and make some noise for my neighbours !

Hi guys just got in from a hard day poured 32 cube of concrete and dug 70 tone of muck for some foundations in this heat and plagued with little black midget flys from 730 this mornin THE OVEN CAN RAM IT TONIGHT 5 cans of Stella artois instead !

Hi Lee, you are doing a great job mate, a lot of very good information too, thanks I'm still at the base stage, well, I'm taking my time, however should be ready to build the actual floor in August when I will have three weeks off work to finish the job and start eating Will create the thread once it gets interesting, I live in South Wales in the valleys so watch this space. Hi guys I finaly plugged the oven! cut a new 3 piece keystone which worked better for my hole size another course just would of been to small a pieces I'm happy with how this one turned out Thanks for you kind words Marco I've really enjoyed this project so far and you will also the 3 weeks you have off will be great I only took a week and wasn't enough you must of eaten from these oven before if you from Italy then have you? Il look forward to following your tread once started good luck !
