building me modular oven within 30 yards of the North sea.......challenging few post in the ground and some 6 by 2's corner bits cross members/noggins

vermiculite in the gaps paving slabs and some breeze blocks oven arrived from pizza forno,, dont under estimate the weight of these things... Truly heavy and awkward to handle

base on with dry mix of sand and cement lid on roof trusses up

roof on flue extension temporarily fitted to see if its worth pursing. sea side seasoned driftwood collected from local beach and ignited

roof cleared of soot, pizza in and WOW, you really cant put across just how good these pizzas are until you have tasted em. Its the crust, the crust that makes the difference. truely worth the effort when they taste this good. well, its up and running and next project when time allows will be to insulate the oven, secure the tall chimney and take a picture of the beach full of free driftwood i have to choose from for me oven.... the girls in the family reckon i should call it the 'driftwood pizzeria' in total so far... 11.5 man hours build time hundreds and hundreds of hours swotting up time on this and other forums and hopefully a lifetime enjoying it regards davey
