Hi Patrick not to far away from me I'm in sutton. If your on a time scale why not use calsil board for your floor insulation,better insulating values and no messing about mixing verm and waiting for it to dry that stuff takes ages check these out I once enquired and they do good discount for multiple buys m.ebay.co.uk/itm/301653370016?nav=SEARCH

They're the same ones I bought and the same seller too. They seem to perform great. I'm in kirkella so I guess it won't be long before we'resending smoke signals across the city. If you use the calsil make sure it doesn't get wet. You'll have to make it weather tight straight away

Good advice and should save time and money as the vermicrete is not exactly cheap and time is important for me! I guess the dame applies to using an insulating blanket as well. I'll make sure I get everything watertight before setting any Casil boards (thank you for the tips!).
