I'm Back!

This isn't much an introduction as a re-introduction.

I've been off the oven scene for... way too long, having pretty much abandoned my oven in the garden for at least a year due to starting a new job and participating in the 2015 Mongol Rally, thus being totally flooded.

Well, the rally is now over and it's nearing a big birthday so I want to relight the oven... but crucially, I want to finish it first! I still need to finish slating the roof, build the marble table in front and make a proper door.

Just restarted my sourdough, trying some endemic cultures first from my garden...

Also, will probably try a ground-up pizza at some point and post that. That means, home-milled flour (too much effort to grow it ), home-made mozzarella and home-grown tomatoes... let's see if I can ever pull that off!

Welcome back I was going to ask if you kept your sourdough alive! I think it was you who started the sourdough exchange thread wasn't it! I kept meaning to ask if you'd post me some but never got round to it!!

It was me Still have my old culture in the freezer as a backup, but keen to try something different. Almost brought back some sourdough from Iran, but was too much to keep it alive during the rally.

Once I get it going again, I'll be more than happy to post you some.
