Hello All, Great to see such an active forum. I have still got a lot to research on here having just found the site, but I thought I would outline my plans in case anyone has some quick advice which would save me time digging through the forum! Originally I had planned to wait until I owned my own house to invest time and money into making a pizza oven, but as that wont be for a few years I thought I would give it a go on a budget as a little practice and test run. Because it will only be temporary and my budget is limited, I intend to make a clay oven, with an opening made from red bricks (where I will source them from i'm unsure yet). If I am able to find bricks for free/a reasonable price, I may build a raised pizza oven, otherwise I was thinking of casting a concrete base onto a pallet, so it will sit at floor level. If anyone could point me in the right direction to any good sites to find clay close to Leeds it would be greatly appreciated, otherwise I was considering ordering from this site www.hobbyceramicraft.co.uk/slip-and-clay, although I am unsure which type of clay is best yet out of the terracotta and white earthenware
Cheers
George
