hi guys, looking to build a good sized pizza oven in the new year.

i have a wood burner in the lounge, so keen on getting peoples thoughts on drying wood in the pizza oven too

Never done it but have seen plenty of people suggesting drying wood in the oven after the fire has been removed to use in the next firing. You can't while a fire is in the oven as it gets hot enough to cause the wood to combust (I had bits in the arch warming before going into the oven properly just burst into flames).

Thanks nixie, lol at the burst into flames. i've seen it happen a few times in my wood burner. nothing for ages, then suddenly everything is on fire!
