Hi, I'm new to this forum but, having just completed a two year build of my own wood fired oven I felt I might share some pics and offer advice if people require it. I downloaded plans from Forno Bravo about four years ago and finally got round to beginning my build in the summer of 2013. A contact I knew had bought an old Co-op bakery for renovation to flats and was ripping out the old bread ovens. Good firebricks made here in Scotland at the Hurll works. I live in Rothesay on the Isle of Bute and have a pretty good builders merchants for Vermiculite etc. special fire mortar was sourced on the mainland and brought over by a nephew who stays in Falkirk. I have a complete photo record of the build..
