Hi folks, just joined the forum having recently joined the wood burning oven fraternity. My build project is almost complete and I'm now looking to source exterior terracotta style tiles for around oven and worktop. Does anyone have any recommendations? I live in Ayrshire, Scotland so a local supplier is preferred to remove delivery costs, but open to all suggestions. Thanks.

I used proper terracotta tiles from Walls and Floors You have to re-wax them now and again, but they are the genuine article and I would use them again. You can see them in my build thread. Cheers

Thanks albacore. Will have a look at those. Also reviewed your build thread - very nice! Might steal a few ideas such as the angled tile shelf to keep rain from wood store. My oven has also developed a crack on the top through to the brick arch on the front after a few weeks of use. According to the manufacturer this should not impact the integrity of the oven but I've bought a tarpaulin for winter protection and I'll be keeping an eye on the crack.

Thanks Elvis - borrow whatever features you want - that's what it's all about! Yes, some sort of winter cover is highly recommended, though those with a K-rend finish may look smug at this point! I've got another thread somewhere with a picture of a winter "coat" that I made.
