Hi wfo'ers,
I thought I had this one sorted but now concerned I have used the wrong water to mix ratio.
I have now layed my under- hearth slab and used a ratio of 5 part vermiculite, 1 part cement and 1 part water. Looking at another thread, it says should be 3 parts water. Now I'm concerned that i havent used enough water to set the concrete. It was a little dry but all was well coated and it formed in my hand when squeezed. On top of this is going 25mm verm board, then the fire bricks. Is the mix wet enough or should I start again?

Thanks Digger,
On the plus side, it wont take so long to dry. :-)! On the negative side....... I don't want to think about the negative side!!
