Hi All,
Started to think about my chimney.
I have been advised that I need a 5" chimney, which is fine.
My oven is very near my pergola. I fact, I reckon the chimney will be directly under one of the rungs.
My question is, my internal oven is 53 cm X 70 cm. Would it be ok to fit a long steel flue (1.2 mtr) so it clears the pergola? Can I angle it somehow?
Bad planning on my part but in fairness, I am quite restricted for space (hence the oven size).
Regards
Stuart

Regards Stuart Raising the chimney will increase the draw which is good, but if you change directions use a couple of 45 degree bends (see pic)

Thanks Dave,
Any idea where I can source some cheap pipe? Flue pipe is very expensive!

Lots of options on ebay for twin wall flue pipes. Could also consider that flexible chimney liner piping, I've used it for about three years on my clay oven to divert gases around a roof.

Thanks Zelige,
Does it have to be twin walled?

My opinion is not necessarily but it's certainly a better choice. You get better pull with twin wall which is very useful when getting up to temp.
I've always wanted to make my own twinwall with some stove pipe coated in vermicrete encased in an outer wall of sheet metal perhaps made from one of those 20L oil tins you see looked up outside takeaways.
