Hi all.
I'm going to attempt to build a wood fired pizza oven in our garden for our 2 week window of summer.... We've all had BBQ's, so I thought this year why don't we try something different. I cast my base yesterday so i'm ready to go once i'm happy it's cured sufficiently. I apologise in advance if I ask the same old questions on the forum...
Regards. Steve.

Welcome Steve, Best advice is to read through lots of build threads...then read some more! You'll get information overload to start with but then it starts to make sense. What style of oven are you building?

Hi Grace.
Sorry if I use the wrong terminology, I'd like to build a brick lined dome oven, with a smooth rendered finish. One thing i'm telling myself is that the oven is going to be a permanent structure in our garden so it has to be right. I mustn't go at it like a Bull in a china shop. Research research research, then take my time to build it.
Regards. Steve.

Sounds like a Pompeii style rather than the vault/ tunnel.Check out the build threads...there are lots for that style and plenty of people with experience in the build process. Happy building!
