Without a doubt all of my questions have been asked before so apologies in advance.
I've been researching on and off for a few years and now started the build.
I have built my wooden base (120cm square) and laid paving slabs in the bottom. I can make it taller, currently its 12 inches high
I was going to lay 3 inch Kingspan on top of the slabs and then a layer of bottles embedded in sand on top of that.
I have managed to buy 10 bags of Vermiculite cheap at £14 per 100litre bag so I thought a 4 inch layer of 5:1 next.
Finish off with 2 inch firebricks - not sure how to lay them best.
Am I on the right track or being naive?
Whats teh best cement to use and best sand or maybe something else. I see Lime mentioned.
