Hi everyone,

great to find a load of like minded people. i have dreamed for years of building my own oven and finally bit the bullet a few weeks ago. My driveway is now my cooking area, car has been banished to the street, walls built, slabs down, hot tub installed, hearth ready. All i need now is some solid advice. I would like to do the build myself, I've sourced bricks, Central Refractories in Falkir, all i need is a plan.....hope you guys can help.

I am in Banknock so not far from you.
We have the base half built so far so have a rough plan but just double checking the forum at each stage.

Where are going to get your clay?

Hi Tracy,

I went to the Central Refractories office, they were really helpful and told me they could supply everything I need. They normally deal with much larger projects but didn't mind that I am small fry

No not yet, though they led me to believe they were competetive, i don't have a plan yet so don't know quantities of materials etc
