hi from telboy how to get the heat up

Hi everybody just built a vitcas oven and having trouble getting it to high temp any suggestions. Using own wood dried for at least a year, do I need kiln dried logs and anything else not hot enough to cook pizza. Got insulating blanket and vitcas cement on oven but not much life in it any help wood be appreciated

My guess is that the oven is still wet and requires gentle firing until all the moisture has been purged.

Does the manufacturer provide any instructions regarding firing the oven after completion? Maybe you should be addressing your question to them.
