Hi everyone. What a useful resource this is. Well done to all. I'm building my first igloo oven in vermicrete. Will post pics. Anyone else in northern Ireland for info on firebricks both suppliers and type I'd love that.

I live in Northern Ireland and have just finished my oven - weatherproof render on today :0) I found it difficult to source firebricks. And they were so expensive to order on line and deliver over here (apparently we aren't in the U.K. ) I ended up using class A blue engineering bricks. I'm assured they are the next best thing and certainly have worked a treat for us! Think they were about 80p each. Bought them at Brookmount just outside Lisburn but I'm sure they're easily found elsewhere too.
