Hi guys! Total wood fired novice here so go easy on me... I'm looking to install an oven on the back of my Piaggio ape to start selling incredible pizza over here. I've scoured the Internet and am having great difficulty in understanding which oven/manufacturer is best for me. Obviously it needs to be fairly lightweight as 50cc isn't going to take too kindly to a tonne of clay on the back! Anyou advice at all is greatly received! Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance Forget a brick oven, it's likely to rattle to bits and would be way too heavy for a Piaggio Ape. Even a small cob or precast oven would weigh around 200 Kg again way to heavy for 50cc to lug around and far too dangerous for your braking system. There is an option for an oven that has a very low thermal mass though. Try searching for UUMI 2 pizza oven.

Hi Dave, Thanks for the recommendation!
I did spot those online but was concerned that they are a little small? Ideally I'd like to be able to cook two pizzas at a time... do you know of any other similar ovens with a higher capacity?
Thanks!!

Regardless of weight, I'd forget trying to cook two pizzas at once; even with one you've barely time to blink if your oven is at top temp. Secondly, to progress two pizzas at a time you're going to need an assistant, where are they going to sit ?
I've used a friends Alfa on several occasions, not sure what model it is but was possibly the 4; my comment above still stands, unless there are two of you operating then one at a time is the way to go. The oven itself heats up quickly < 1hr and needs relatively little fuel, you do however have to keep feeding it as the relatively low mass means it can cool off quite quickly. Great for pizza but no retained heat capability, which given your scenario shouldn't be a problem. Not sure about the weight but even on its stand two blokes can move it with ease.
