Having got fed up of crawling on my hands and knees to get wood into and out of my wood store, I decided it was time to build a trolley that could store the wood and give easy access for getting the logs in and out. Luckily the opening to my wood store is quite wide and is square shaped, not arched, so access is pretty good. Initially I thought of running the trolley on rails - I quite liked the idea of it running round the garden! However, suitable hardware seemed in short supply - and what would happen when the truck came to the end of the rails? So wheels it was. Initially I was going to have the truck body above or between the wheels, but both options would loose a lot of precious space. In a eureka moment I realised that the best arrangement was for the wheels to go through cutouts in the chassis with the chassis underslung from the two 20mm axles on U bolts, to lower it down nearer the floor of the wood store. The front wheels are set back, so that the trolley can be pulled out a couple of feet or so with all the wheels still in the wood store. I added a picture on the front face, so it didn't look too much like an 80's Futon frame! Hopefully you'll spot where it's of: The groudwork still needs completing with some hard standing for the wheels when the trolley is pulled out; that will be next year's job!

What a neat design!
I originally thought of blocking off the back off mine with a false wall but may go for something like this in the new year!

Alas, I think Morecambe Bay Pizza is yet to be endorsed by DOP(Denominazione d' Origine Protetta)!

Thanks for all your positive comments! Even if people don't build one, it might help future oven builders plan their wood stores better, ie nice big opening and no internal support walls messing it up.
