So I finally got agreement from the boss to construct my first pizza oven.
Hopefully the weather gods will be kind!
I've chosen a 34in internal diameter fire brick Pompeii.
After much reading online I am about to order materials. I've dug out an area 1.2m sq to a depth of 20cm for pouring a slab this week.
Any advice gratefully received.

I'm about 25 miles due North of you, the best advice is take lots of pictures, and always ask before committing to cement !

In the heart of Dartmoor in the mist then!
I've been pricing up materials and wickes appears the best for general building, blocks, sand, cement etc and kilnlinnings for the bricks and refractables unless you know of anything closer to home?

I used Wickes for sand and cement, scrounged some solid reds for the dome and used heater blocks from eBay for the floor. I did buy a sheet of vermiculite board for underfloor insulation which has proved its worth.
Good luck with the build.
