As title, this might be a dumb question, but I thought it best to check. Yesterday, I took delivery of a new peel as I wanted a small diameter turning peel. It's this one: www.az-boutique.co.uk/round-aluminium-pizza-peel-20cm-handle-149cm-pizza-paderno.htmlHowever, once I'd got over the initial excitement of it (yes, I'm that sad), I noticed that the handle/shaft has a slight but noticeable bend in it. I'm trying to work out if this is a deliberate design feature to make it more ergonomic to use, or if it's been damaged in transit. The bend happens to be in the vertical plane (vertical as you are using the peel) so it appears straight when viewed from above. See photos below - I have used the lines between my kitchen tiles to help show the bend! If you were going to pick a plane to put the bend in, this would be the one to pick, so that's why I suspect that it's a deliberate design feature. Of course, I could check with the retailer but it's now the weekend and I suspect the good people of this forum will be much more helpful as you'll all have used various peels. The peel has a plastic slider on it which I assume is to act as a handle which might make it easier to use somehow (I'm sceptical though). Thanks in advance Photos:

Bent in transit, I reckon. Send it back - or see if they'll give you a big discount!

I'm going to give them a ring today and see what they say. It would have to be a hefty knock to cause that damage to the steel pole, and it just happens to be in the vertical plane so I'm not 100% sure. What I didn't realise is that it's been shipped from France which may make returns a pain.
