Fire cement advice

Morning all, quick question about pizza oven and fire cement. My oven has a lip at the opening and drops about 1cm to the cooking floor. It's annoying, so had a thought to raise the oven floor to make it level. I was thinking of using fire cement to do this, but not sure if could cook on it. Anyone know?

Fire cement, as with other cement does not usually have much abrasive resistance so not particularly suited for a cooking surface. How was your floor laid ? Can it be removed and raised ?
