Anyone any tips on this please?
The entrance landing has some grease spots on it from spilled cheese etc. The entrance never has the fire on it and so doesn't burn off.
I have seen a couple of things about a 50/50 vinegar water mix?

Rake some coals forward over the entry area and leave them there. They will burn off all the stains.

Thanks Dave, will have a go and just try to be careful as it is right on the entrance. Maybe not on a windy day perhaps!

If it's just a few grease spots then taking Daves advice will certainly clean up the area, just in time for you to spill something else on it; so wait until you've finished cooking for the evening before cleaning the oven.

As an update to this, I raked the coals right to the front for a while and it cleaned it a bit.
I watched a guy on you tube clean a restaurant oven with wet tea towels and also a pizza base wiped around under a paddle. Maybe that is the answer, to always make a spare base to sacrifice in the oven to start with!
