Hi I’m Stuart from herts Have just started getting in to outdoor cooking great fun for all the family and friends, But do struggle to get my oven to decent temperature I’ve had few fires and I’m hoping I’ve got rid of the moisture just can’t get rid of the soot in the doodle so I suppose this is down to temperature if any one could advise would be great, many thanks

A damp oven will be reluctant to clear, very dry wood will help but I'm afraid there is no substitute for time (and fire).
It may assist if you let us know what type of oven you are using?
