Hi I apologise for the late writing of this. I'm building an oven in a slightly different situation than I imagine many of you are. I have a dry stone wall about 5' high and am incorporating it into an internal corner. The wall slopes away a little (as they do for strength), and this gives me a little more space by the time I get up to the supporting slab size. It also helps as much of the lower build on 2 sides, (although blocks are also used), can be "bonded" to the wall with a concrete infill. I'll keep a photographic record but may need a bit of advice now and then. Hopefully when finished I will be able to reciprocate and help others. Anyway the sun is out to I'm off to create the shuttering for the next slab. I'll keep you posted.
