my garage is currently being demolished and has loads of 50+ year old pine in the roof timbers. Would this be any good for burning in a wood fired oven?

Yes, it just won't last very long; use it to get the WFO up to heat and supplement with dried hard wood for longer burn time. I'm a big fan of burning whatever is around so your pine would certainly find a place in the system.

Thanks. That's what I thought but wanted to check.
Once the pizza oven / BBQ shelter is finished by the builder and the pizza oven is finished I'll use it after getting the fire started before adding some hardwood for the actual cooking.
I was just worried about storing it for ages and then having to throw it away if it just smoked and spit

Be 100% sure it hasn’t been treated. CCA treatment contains arsenic and is highly toxic when burned. Not sure how you’d find out.

Good point but as the builders got rid of it before I could ask them to leave it for me a moot point now
